Priority order for maximum sparkle:

  1. Cut quality (makes the biggest visual difference determining how well light is reflected)
  2. Carat size (the size/weight of the diamond)
  3. Colour grade (Colours range from H to D and determines how white the diamond looks)
  4. Clarity (starts from I1 all the way to IF) Refers to the visibility of inclusions and blemishes that affects a diamonds appearance

DO I HAVE TO GET A DIAMOND ENGAGEMENT RING?

Diamond engagement rings are the classic option. Diamonds are durable, hardwearing and last a lifetime, making them the perfect symbol of love that lasts forever. However, we also have a range of gemstone engagement rings to choose from if you're looking for something more unique. From rubies and sapphires to emeralds and yellow diamonds, we'll help you find the perfect stone for your partner.

HOW DO I FIND OUT WHAT MY PARTNER'S ENGAGEMENT RING SIZE IS?

The easiest way to find out your partner's ring size is to ask their friends or close family members to subtly find out the perfect ring size. Alternatively, you could borrow one of your partner's dress rings and bring that to our showroom, and we can work out the correct size. The aim is to ensure the ring fits tightly enough that the featured stone remains in a central position on the finger but that the ring can also be removed without any discomfort.

CAN I FINANCE AN ENGAGEMENT RING?

Yes, you can. At Diamond Heaven, we offer a variety of finance methods. You can either pay upfront or apply online to one of our finance deals in a fast and easy process. Once finished, your application will be instantly sent to the finance company, who will get back to you with a response.

SHOULD YOU WEAR AN ENGAGEMENT RING EVERY DAY?

No matter what style, setting or stone you choose, a beautiful engagement ring is going to be something you're going to want to show off! Diamonds are hardy and strong, but to ensure your engagement ring stays as shiny as possible, we do recommend removing it when swimming, showering, exercising or partaking in manual labour to prevent damage. HOW MUCH SHOULD I SPEND ON AN ENGAGEMENT RING?

Whilst there is no set amount that you should spend on an engagement ring, spending between one and three months' salary seems to be widely acknowledged and accepted by many. However, this is entirely dependent on your individual circumstances, so we recommend setting your budget before committing to a ring.
